Just like the Dizzee 'Sirens' single a couple of months
back, MIA's latest jam 'Boyz' has been thrown down onto one-sided wax so
the more DJ minded among you can start throwing it into your part accented
sets ready for the summer (hah!). With a rocking flurry of kick drums and
a schoolyard-friendly sing-along hook it's a big tune. I heard rumours that
this stuff is all self-produced, so it makes me wonder why she didn't rope
her squeeze Diplo in at least for just a little bit of 8-bit synthesizer,
just for me? Rockin' stuff, but let's hope there's some more party action on
the almost-ready full-length 'Kala Kala' eh? Hurry!
